Katie Block coordinates the National Resource Center for Reaching Victim’s work around older adults. She provides nationwide leadership, technical assistance, and training to victim services professionals on topics related to abuse in later life, and elder justice. She is currently the Project Coordinator for the National Clearinghouse on Abuse in Later Life (NCALL), a project of End Domestic Abuse Wisconsin (End Abuse).
In her past work, Block supervised a victim services program designed for older adults in Philadelphia, PA. Her focus was on ensuring equitable access to justice for older victims and developing programming and collaborations to better reach victims. Prior to her work in victim services, Block worked as a social issues marketing and communications consultant providing marketing strategy, material development, and strategic planning support for social service organizations.
She received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the university of Rhode Island, and received a Master of Social Work and a Master of Public Health from Temple University.
